Question: My girlfriend has a totally hidden clitoris. You cannot see it or access it at all. There is no clearly defined hood and no opening at all. The first opening is the urethra, followed by the vagina. Do you have any information on this condition? Are there any treatments? She has never had an orgasm and doesn't feel much when the clitoral area is stimulated. You can though, feel a clitoris beneath the "hood".Answer: I am not aware that having a hidden clitoris automatically means a woman will have trouble experiencing orgasm. I would guess that women with a hidden clitoris are just as orgasmic as those who do not, on average. I believe just as many women in each group will have trouble experiencing orgasm. Chances are that she is not broken and does not need to have anything fixed.
This having been said, there is a chance she has a medical problem. Please read the page on Clitoral Adhesions in the Health section. You will want to make sure she is not affected by this medical condition. Basically, her hood may have fused closed when she was a child as a result of poor hygiene or infection.
One potential remedy not mentioned there is the use estrogen cream to release clitoral adhesions. Women with low estrogen levels have found this to be an effective treatment.
Has she tried a vibrator? I believe a vibrator would provide the stimulation she needs to reach orgasm. The vibrations would penetrate through the upper layers of skin and stimulate her clitoris. Read the page Tips For Pre-Orgasmic Women in the Orgasm section for some techniques to try.
While I suspect you already know your female anatomy very well, you may want to read the guide to finding a woman's clitoris in the Q&A section; Q&A page 1, question 4. If nothing else, you may see a vulva that looks similar to hers.
Another option is to explore the sensitivity of her vagina and anus. There is a chance she may be orgasmic without clitoral stimulation. See if she has a G- Spot. You can read about the G-Spot on the page about Female Ejaculation, in the Orgasm section. Try vaginal and anal massage.
Before you try to stimulate her clitoris, ensure that she is already highly aroused. If a woman is not aroused, her clitoris may be numb or overly sensitive to stimulation.
